Another must-have at the new Whole Foods is 365 Sourdough Crackers. There are fewer than 365 crackers in the box, sadly; 365 is WF’s house brand. They’re small, very crispy square crackers with a distinct sourdough flavor. It’s easy to finish a whole box. Buy two.
Today I went to IKEA and managed to buy only the $8 lamp I went in for, and then restrained myself from stopping at the new Whole Foods on the way back. This was good, and I’m patting myself on the back, but sooner or later I will reward my abstemiousness with some kind of shopping spree.
Ooh, another Whole Foods suggestion: Vanilla macaroon granola from the bulk foods section. With big chewy pieces of coconut. Mmmmm…
Excellent.
Man I love the IKEA food store, lingonberry concentrate for making cocktails and cookies and fishy snacks, and …….
Fishy snacks?
Dont forget the Daim! candy they sell.
Not only is it tasty, you get to say “Daymmmmmnnnn!!!!!” when you eat it.

They have some kind of gingery cookies I like. Nobody mentioned Swedish meatballs?
Ooh, I know those gingery cookies. They are good. Meatballs – eh.
I love those rubbery meatballs! I’m sure Lauren will also eventually comment on the meatballs. But what really makes them great is the gravy. I think it might be packets of powdered Knorr. Rocky mentions fishy snacks–IKEA has inexpensive smoked salmon. Maybe that’s what he means. Hopefully he’s not talking about that salted licorice that comes in fish shapes.
Pickled fish of all types, I loves them I do. The meatballs are great, they are a lifesaver for parties and when I feel no inclination to do anything whatsoever.
