Does anyone else remember this from Saturday morning cartoons? What the hell were they talking about?

Obviously it didn’t work on me–at least, not until later in life. I was always excited when we had asparagus so I had an excuse to eat blue cheese dressing by the ladleful.

That must have appeared after my time. Schoolhouse Rock rocked, but I’m glad to have missed out on “Nutrition” Rock. What a Saturday morning bummer.

aww…remember the olden days, when there were “hey kids, don’t get real fat” spots on tv?
remember “time for timer!” who, among other things, hankered for a hunk of cheese?
No comment! I never watched TV on Saturday mornings….or any other morning of the week. I was too busy taking care of every early morning chore before I went off to work in the city (at the glamourous show- business office where I was in charge of controlling expenses…..hence my title of Comptroller).
I don’t remember this one either — but I do remember the ones that Anita posted!
My husband thinks I’m weird because I put both butter and sour cream on potatoes — and both butter and jam on toast. He thinks it should be one or the other.

I missed this one, but I do remember these:
“Hanker for a hunk ‘o cheese!”
Don’t skip breakfast:

I remember this… considering salads of that era had more dressing than greens, it was probably good advice.
Though I have to admit I have not relinquished a soft spot for massive amounts of butter and sour cream with my potatoes.
